Overview

IKAI Tools is operated by IKAI Media. The site provides browser-based utilities for web and media work. This policy applies to the public website, its tools, and the administrative features used to operate its blog and analytics.

The short version: local image and video files used with browser-based tools are processed on your device and are not uploaded to the IKAI Tools server. Some tools intentionally contact a public URL that you enter; those tools clearly identify that server-side check before you run them.

Local file tools

Local media tools that accept files, such as image compression, conversion, resizing, watermarking, favicon generation, metadata removal, WordPress image preparation, video conversion, and video optimization, process the selected file in your browser. IKAI Tools does not receive or store those local files.

Downloads created by those tools are generated in your browser. The site may record an anonymous usage event, such as that a tool was opened or files were processed, but that event does not include the file, file name, or file contents.

Public URL checks

The HTTP Status & Redirect Checker and Image SEO Checker fetch the public web address that you submit so they can inspect its response, redirects, or HTML. These checks are made from the site server and are limited to public HTTP and HTTPS addresses on standard web ports. They are designed not to access local addresses, private networks, or internal servers.

Do not submit a URL that contains confidential query parameters, credentials, or content you are not authorized to test. The tools are for publicly accessible pages only.

Website analytics and technical data

IKAI Tools uses Google Analytics and a small first-party event tracker to understand general site usage. The first-party tracker can record the page path, page title, referring page, browser user-agent, event type, tool name, and aggregate processing values such as file count or byte totals. It stores a keyed, one-way representation of the network address rather than the raw network address.

Analytics is used to maintain the site, identify broken pages or tools, understand which tools are useful, and measure aggregate performance. The site does not provide user accounts for public tool use and does not ask you to upload local image or video files for processing.

Third-party services

The website loads Google Fonts and Google Analytics. Where an optional WordPress image tool asks you to provide a Google Gemini API key, that key is used in your browser to make the requested call to Google. IKAI Tools does not store that key on its server.

Third-party services operate under their own privacy policies. Your browser may also store local browser data needed for convenience features, such as saved UTM presets or a current analytics session identifier.

Your choices and contact

You can avoid local browser storage by clearing site data in your browser. You can also use browser controls, extensions, or privacy settings to limit analytics. Choosing not to use the public URL tools prevents the site from making a server-side request to an address you enter.

To ask a privacy question or make a request about information handled by IKAI Tools, contact IKAI Media through ikaimedia.com. This policy may be updated when the site’s processing practices change; the effective date will be updated with the revision.
