Built for practical web exports. Processing happens in your browser and depends on your device, the source codec, duration, resolution and available memory. A MOV is a container, so some camera codecs may not be convertible in a browser. For long or very large videos, use a desktop encoder. Local processing is powered by FFmpeg.wasm.

MOV to MP4
MP4 is generally easier to use in web page builders, media libraries, and modern browsers than a camera-export MOV file.
H.264 video + AAC audio
The output uses a common browser-compatible MP4 combination instead of carrying over an unpredictable source codec.
Fast-start MP4
The output is prepared for progressive playback, which helps a browser begin playback before the full file is downloaded.
No upload queue
The selected file is processed locally. IKAI Tools does not receive, store, or inspect your video.

Frequently Asked

No. The tool runs a local WebAssembly video engine in your browser. The video stays on your device and is never sent to IKAI Tools.
Browser-based encoding uses your device memory. Each file is limited to 100 MB and a queue is limited to five files or 300 MB total, with files processed one at a time. A desktop encoder is a better choice for long, 4K, or very large files.
Not always. MOV files can contain different codecs. If a source codec cannot be decoded in the browser, the tool gives a plain-language error instead of uploading it elsewhere.
